Titanium Electrodes: High-Performance Solutions for Industrial Applications

Advanced MMO (Mixed Metal Oxide) electrodes engineered for exceptional electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance, and long service life in demanding electrochemical environments.

What is a Titanium Anode

Titanium anodes, also known as Mixed Metal Oxide (MMO) electrodes or Dimensionally Stable Anodes (DSA), are high-performance electrolysis components characterized by exceptional electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance.

Constructed by coating a pure titanium substrate—such as plates, expanded mesh, tube or wire—with a composite of metal oxides, these anodes deliver dual functionality. Conductive oxides like ruthenium dioxide (RuO₂), iridium dioxide (IrO₂), or platinum (Pt) serve as the core catalytic layer, facilitating key electrochemical reactions (e.g., chlorine gas generation). Complementing this, titanium dioxide (TiO₂) acts as a cost-effective, non-conductive barrier layer that shields the substrate from corrosion without interfering with the target reaction.
